Meet your Russian lady face to face

After you established correspondence it is time to meet face to face. You have three options:

• You go to her country
• She visits you
• You meet in a third country

You go visit her in Russia or Ukraine

This is the best option, because you will meet not only your lady, but also her family and see how she lives. It will be a great experience for you.

You can organize your tour with a tour agency. They will take care of your visa, accommodation and air tickets. Or you can do everything yourself. Doing it yourself sounds like a cheaper option, but usually turns out to be more expensive and troublesome.

Also, you can go to a romance tour with Russian dating agency. This way you will meet not only your lady, but also many other women. This can be a very good back up plan.

Russians are known for their hospitality, your lady might offer you to stay in her apartment, but it is best to stay in the hotel. First, she is likely to live with her parents and won’t have a separate room for you. Second, what if you arrive there and realize that you don’t like her after all?

While there, you will be expected to pay for most expenses. If you tell a Russian woman that in Europe when people have dinner together a woman often pays for herself, she won’t believe you. To a Russian this sounds impossible. In Russian tradition a man is always expected to pay for tickets, restaurants etc.

Also you should bring several gifts for your lady and her family. Gifts for her relatives don’t have to be expensive, but it is considered impolite to come to a Russian home without a gift for the hosts.

You should decide whether or not you are going to pursue this lady before you leave. Then discuss the future of your relationship with her. She is unlikely to start such a conversation, in Russia a man is expected to make the first step. If you like her, ask her to marry you. Also discuss what are you going to do afterwards – ether you invite her to your country as a guest (guest visa can be obtained after you meet your lady) or, if you sure that you are made for each other, start working on her fiancée visa.

Your Russian lady visits you

This option probably sounds most attractive to you, but for most countries it is impossible. There is no way a young single Russian or Ukrainian woman can get a visa to USA, Australia or most European countries without meeting you face to face first.

If your lady offers to visit you, ask immigration department of your country is it possible for her to get a visa. If you live in the US and she wants to visit you, she is ether unaware of visa problems or a scammer.

Meeting your Russian bride in a third country

This is a sensible option. Select a country where it is easy for her to get a visa (or no visa needed at all). Thailand, Turkey and Poland are popular places to meet. It would be very nice to spend holidays together with your lovely lady.

However, this method has two serious disadvantages. First, this way you can meet only one girl, and if it doesn’t work, your trip is wasted. Second, you will probably have to cover her traveling costs, since it is unlikely that she will have money for a vocation.

Meet one lady or many?

Going to visit just one girl is a big risk. What if after seeing her face-to-face you realize she isn’t the one for you? You will only waste your time.

On the other hand, if your lady finds out that you are coming to meet several other women, you might not see her at all. Russians are proud and easily offended, she will simply decide that you don’t care for her much and don’t value her. So if you plan to visit several ladies, plan your trip very carefully, so this question didn’t arise.

Start with the lady you think is most suitable. If it works between you two, you can politely cancel your meetings with other women and spend the rest of your trip with her.

Also, whether you going to meet one woman or several, have a back up plan. Take agency office details, emails and phones of other women with you. If it happens that you meet all ladies you planed to meet and it doesn’t work with any of them, contact your agency representative and ask what can they do to help. If you dealing with a serious agency, they will organize you to meet more women.
