Usually the agency sells you contact details of women and you start by writing to ladies you like. First and most important rule is to write to several ladies not just one. First contact

You first letter is most important. In your first letter it is good supply the following information:

After a few letters offer to phone her. For her it would be too expensive to call you, but you can set a specific time when you call her and you talk. You can also offer to cover her Internet costs. All reputable agencies put in big print “don’t send any money to a woman until you meet her face to face” and they are right, of course. If she asks you for financial help this is a first sign of scam.

However, offering some support (without being asked) is different. First, she will know that you are generous and a gentlemen. Second, her Internet costs ($15-20 a month) sounds like nothing to you, but might be a serious expense for her. Use your discretion – if your lady has a child to support and works as a school teacher (laughable salary), your help would be greatly appreciated. On the other hand is she has no kids and works in a commercial firm with a good salary, you don’t have to offer her any help, send her a gift instead.

Make sure that she is a real person

The last thing you want is to get involved with a scammer. If you contacted your lady through a reputable Russian dating service, the chance that she is a scam is slim, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

Now when you established warm friendship with one or several ladies, it is time to start thinking about visiting her (them). Don’t wait for too long – if you think you have found the one, go there to see her. Russian brides aren’t interested in endless correspondence, and you don’t want her to think that all your letters are just sweet talk.

Don’t wait for invitation from her. Just say that you really like her and want to see her and set a date when you are coming to her country.
